I was intrigued by this book the minute I read the description. Beg for Mercy is fast paced, and I was unable to put it down. I was beginning to wonder how this was going to be a YA book about a succubus, but Dermott pulled it off fabulously!Many of the characters were easy to connect with. Mercy acted like a complete airhead at times, but I don't she realized the effect she had on people since she wasn't never taught what to do in certain situations. Luke is the all around great guy. He's easy going, patient and loyal. Flynn is awesome! He's the poster boy for bad boys everywhere. Paul is stuck in the friend zone. Well, Mercy wishes he wasn't, but can't change things. And then there is Sebastian. You never know his true intentions. I love the mystery in the book. I also think it's a shock to Mercy that not everyone is as they seem. If you aren't a fan of love triangles, you might get annoyed. There are 4 main guys vying for Mercy's attention. At times I felt it was a little excessive, but it didn't take away from the story at all. Being put in these odd situations has helped Mercy grow, and learn to make better choices. I can't wait to see what happens in Waiting for Mercy. Especially after the way this book ended!!!!
