Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (Audio) - Seth Grahame-Smith
This was my first experience listening to an audiobook. I figured I'd give it a shot since I have so many wedding things going on, and I'd be able to listen while working on them. I'm so glad i did. The narrator, Scott Holst, did an amazing job throughout this book. I never got bored or wanted to turn it off. He made me feel like I was being transported to the 1800's to follow Abe's journey. This book has made me a fan of historical fiction. Some scenes were kind of freaky, and I'd look around to make sure there weren't any black eyes watching me. The events in the book were very precise, and there weren't any discrepancies that I could find. It was also a recap of of my high school history classes. At times it was hard to keep up with the story due to all the dates and going back and forth between years. It didn't completely confuse me, but I had to pay more attention when dates were mentioned. I'd wanted to read this book for a very long time, and figured I needed to make it soon since the movie is coming out. I'm glad I did. I can't wait to see how the book is portrayed on the big screen.
