Review

Cindi Madsen won me over with Cinderella Screwed Me Over, and she has once again given me more characters to adore. Ready to Wed is sweet, fun, and full of self-discovery.
I love Dakota’s character. She’s confident and goal-oriented. She does what makes her happy. Dakota struggles with love after being left at the alter. I love how she uses this awful situation to find herself. She does go through a ton of emotions, but she doesn’t let it get her down when it comes to her business. Dakota has to learn to put herself first when it comes to relationships. I adore Brendan. He’s sweet and knows when to cheer Dakota up. Their friendship picks up right where it left off years before.
Ready to Wed is a book with great pacing, and events that seem so normal. We’ve all felt some level of rejection, and I think Dakota handles it well. She’s put through some ringers in her professional life, and constantly having to colleagues. She’s terrified to let herself feel anything again, while at the same time hoping she’ll be able to open up again one day. I love how everything felt so real. The characters are hard working and have their own flaws.
Ready to Wed is the PERFECT summer read.
