H.P. Mallory brings humor and the paranormal to the forefront yet again. I liked the setting being in New Orleans. I always think of haunted houses and ghostly things in that city.
Peyton is starting over, and meets quite a few new people in her new town, including the dead sort. Century old crimes are being brought up as she restores the old house left to her by her aunt.
There is definitely some mystery and shenanigans to cleanse her house. Those don't always turn out the way Peyton is hoping.
The romance is light and flirty. Whether it be with the hot contractor she has working on her house, or the ghost that refuses to leave her house.
All in all, it's a fun listen and will have you giggling or shaking your head at the mess Peyton seems to fall into.
