Quickie Review

I loved getting to learn more about this world. We were left wondering many things after The Warlord wants forever, and this installment explains things a bit more.

Lachlain, while an ass at times, does learn that sometimes he can't force his way into something.  There are times when you just have to let things progress naturally.  Maybe certain things would have happened sooner if he had just let it be.

I adored Emmaline.  She's always been sheltered by her Valkyrie caregivers, with good reason, so her small chance at freedom brings her to Lachlain.  She's a strong character that tries to stand up for herself.  It's not easy most of the time, and her voice is sometimes drowned out by everybody else.

I did like that even though everyone treats her like a child, she learns to make herself be heard.  There are some action parts, and quite a few steamy parts.  Secrets abound, and I want to know more about this world, and the characters within in.
