I enjoyed this sequel to Collide. There was drama, loss, new friends, and old ones brought in. Some of the questions you may have had in Collide are answered in Uprising. I think the book could have been a little shorter and still conveyed the story well. I liked that there was more drama in this installment. The first book seemed to be all lovey dovey and constant peace. Some characters in Uprising shake up that harmony, and I love it. I enjoyed seeing things play out in other characters' perspective. The other povs didn't read like a diary either. That was a problem I had in Collide with Merrick's viewpoint. We get a little more information about the Lighters and the Taker. There are some developments that look to be very promising. I'm excited to see what this thrown together family is up against in Catalyst.
